The Wandance<\/em> TV anime<\/a> is set to premiere in October. A teaser visual<\/a>, details about the main cast, and the director were also revealed.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the lead roles<\/a> are Koki Uchiyama<\/strong> as Kaboku Kotani and Hina Yomiya<\/strong> as Hikari Wanda. Directing the anime is Michiya Kato<\/strong> (Kanashiki Debu Neko-chan <\/em>and Nandaka Velonica <\/em>director, Bubble<\/em> and Trillion Game<\/a><\/em> VFX supervisor), who said in a message<\/a> that motion capture work was currently being done.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wandance<\/em>\u00a0is based on the manga by\u00a0Coffee<\/strong>, which Kodansha USA describes as:<\/span><\/p>\n

Kaboku Kotani is starting high school, and he plans to do what he\u2019s always done: go along with his friends, keep quiet, and not to draw too much attention to himself. After all, it\u2019s hard enough to get by with a stutter like his\u2014why make things worse by standing out from the crowd? But then he sees another first-year, Hikari Wanda, dancing like no one is watching\u2014or like she doesn\u2019t care who sees her. It makes Kaboku wonder: Could he reach that same freedom? To find his way to Wanda, he does something he never thought he could: He joins the dance club. After all, every routine begins with a single step, right?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Wandance<\/em> has been serialized since January 2019 in Afternoon and Magazine Pocket and has 13 tankoubon volumes as of August 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

The anime\u00a0is a\u00a0Madhouse<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Cyclone Graphics<\/strong>\u00a0co-production, with the dancer\u00a0RIEHATA<\/strong>\u00a0involved as dance producer<\/span><\/p>\n
