\n\tBy playing an actress who faced pressure from getting older in The Substance, <\/em>the experience impacted Demi Moore, 62, and how she views aging.<\/p>\n

\n\tMoore, a speaker at the Time100 Submit on Wednesday and on the Time100 list, was asked by Time<\/em>\u2018s editorial director, Lucy Feldman, \u201cYou have been such a big part of this cultural moment where women in their 50s, 60s, 70s are being celebrated and recognized in their stories being told about them that haven\u2019t before. And that\u2019s very exciting. What are the stories that you really want to see?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMoore believes things are \u201cvery different\u201d today than they would\u2019ve been in the past. \u201cI think that there was a sense of things ending at a certain point as opposed to the reality, which is just that we\u2019re evolving, it\u2019s not ending,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI also have thought recently about this idea that aging and being old are not the same thing. And somehow we\u2019ve confused that and that aging actually is a tremendous gift,\u201d the actress said before adding, \u201cI would not trade \u2014 you could not pay me to be 21. As good as it might sound, it was torture!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNow, Moore explains how she\u2019s in a \u201cpeaceful space of acceptance and freedom\u201d that she wouldn\u2019t change.<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier in the conversation, Moore was asked if she could see herself on the Dolby Theatre stage in the future, following her best actress loss to Mikey Madison after being called the frontrunner during awards season.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think that would be nice. I can\u2019t say I would be mad at it,\u201d Moore said. \u201cThe question is, \u2018Should I have won?\u2019 It is certainly not the perspective of how I hold it because I didn\u2019t. And I really do subscribe to this idea that everything in life is happ<\/a>ening for me, not to me.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tShe continued, \u201cOf course, there\u2019s disappointment. I also immedia<\/a>tely recognize that there is something that is greater that I am to be in service to, even if I don\u2019t know what that is.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Ghost <\/em>star also noted how Madison gave an \u201cincredible performance.\u201d As far as what Moore\u2019s future will tell, she said, \u201cThe message here is that there\u2019s more work to be done, that this issue is not complete.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
