In light of the ongoing tariff saga weaved by the current US administration, Good Smile Company U.S.<\/strong> recently announced<\/a> that new pre-orders on Goodsmileus.com will be temporarily paused, and that US-bound shipments will be delayed \u201cuntil further notice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis decision was not made lightly. The unpredictable nature<\/a> of the current tariff environment has created significant challenges in both cost and logistics, and we want to ensure that we can continue providing the level of service and transparency you expect from us,\u201d said the announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Good Smile U.S. says that fulfillment will resume as usual when \u201cthis situation becomes more manageable.\u201d Assuming that tariffs are still in play when it\u2019s time to ship \u201cand if a fee must be added to your order, we will provide ample notice \u2014 including the option to cancel should you prefer not to proceed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Another noted impact of the tariffs are price changes<\/a>, which \u201creflect the current tariff conditions.\u201d Orders will be adjusted \u201cto reflect a lower price accordingly\u201d if the situation improves before an item is ready for shipping.<\/span><\/p>\n

The current tariff situation, which began in February with the announcement of tariffs on Canada and Mexico, has been a continuously evolving story marked by confusion and unpredictability, due in large part to the US administration\u2019s messaging and the handling of exemptions and delays.\u00a0

Books are believed to be exempted from the current tariffs, but manufacturing costs may increase<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Various industries, from farming to tabletop gaming, have been affected by the tariffs, which have targeted dozens of countries including China and Japan.
