A second season of the Aoashi<\/em> anime<\/a> is on its way, with animation production by TMS Entertainment<\/strong>. It will premiere in 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

The announcement was accompanied by a visual<\/a> drawn by Yostar Pictures\u2019 Manabu Nakatake<\/b>, one of the first season\u2019s character designers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aoashi\u00a0<\/em>is an adaptation of the manga by Yugo Kobayashi<\/b>, which begin serialization in Shogakukan\u2019s Weekly Big Comic Spirits in January 2015 and has 38 tankoubon volumes as of December 2024. Crunchyroll describes the 2022 first season as:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll take you to the world.\u201d Ashito Aoi is a middle schooler who lives in Ehime, and the ace of an unremarkable soccer club. The day that they lost the final tournament of middle school, Ashito runs along the ocean in frustration, before running into a man who had been watching his game<\/a>. That man is Tatsuya Fukuda, the coach of the high-school-aged Youth team of a leading J-League team, \u201cTokyo City Esperion FC.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

After sensing immense potential in Ashito\u2019s still-unrefined skills, he describes his ambition. \u201cI want to build a team, and use it to take over the world. Our club isn\u2019t going to be a milestone for players who take on the world. Our club is going to be the world. And to make this happ<\/a>en, I\u2019m going to need some \u2018aces\u2019 to train.\u201d After hearing Fukuda\u2019s offer, Ashito decides to head to Tokyo and try out for his team.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Season 1\u2019s staff included\u00a0Akira Sato<\/strong>\u00a0(Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc<\/em>, Release the Spyce<\/em>) as director, Jun Soga<\/strong> (Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc<\/em>, Pandora to Akubi<\/em> director) as assistant director, and Masahiro Yokotani<\/b>\u00a0(Re: ZERO)<\/i> as series<\/a> composer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nakatake\u2019s co-character designers were Toshie Kawamura<\/b> (Acro Trip<\/a><\/em>, Hugtto! Precure<\/em>),\u00a0Asuka Yamaguchi\u00a0<\/b>(Magical Circle Guru Guru<\/em>\u00a0sub-character designer), and\u00a0Saki Hasegawa\u00a0<\/b>(The Fable<\/em> co-character designer, True Cooking Master Boy<\/i>) as character designers. There were also several sub-character designers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Production I.G<\/b> was the animation production studio for the previous season.<\/span><\/p>\n
