And Cluely says it\u2019s ready to develop hardware products like smart glasses, or even brain chips, that bypass anti-cheating software altogether.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">San Francisco startup Validia <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/validia.ai\/blog\/truely\">launched<\/a> a free product called \u2018Truely\u2019 last week in direct response to Cluely. The software triggers an alarm if it detects someone using Cluely, Validia says.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rhode Island-based startup Proctaroo also <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kron4.com\/business\/press-releases\/ein-presswire\/807036913\/proctaroo-launches-to-tackle-the-ai-cheating-epidemic\/\">claims<\/a> its platform can detect Cluely users.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen a Proctaroo session is active, we can see running <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lications and \u2018hidden\u2019 background processes \u2013 Cluely is no different,\u201d CEO Adrian Aamodt told TechCrunch, criticizing Cluely\u2019s business model as \u201cunethical.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cluely\u2019s co-founder and CEO, Chungin \u201cRoy\u201d Lee, called the anti-cheating tools promoted by these startups pointless, comparing them to years of failed cheating crackdowns in the video <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> industry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What\u2019s more, Lee says Cluely may go into hardware anyway, rendering anti-cheating software obsolete.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhether it\u2019s smart glasses, a transparent glass screen overlay, a recording necklace, or even a brain chip, we\u2019re not sure,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lee even says that expanding to hardware is \u201cquite trivial technologically,\u201d despite lots of high-profile AI hardware failures like Humane\u2019s AI Pin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scrutiny of Cluely\u2019s business model does appear to have had some impact, though. Cluely has scrubbed <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20250420213251\/https:\/\/cluely.com\/manifesto\">references<\/a> to cheating on exams and job interviews on its website and manifesto, a major original selling point. Now, Cluely only touts \u201ccheating\u201d on things like sales calls and meetings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lee told TechCrunch that Cluely is \u201credefining\u201d its messaging to target the \u201clargest and most impactful markets.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cUltimately, we see a future where everyone uses AI to its utmost potential, and that means planting in large, specific markets, and expanding out from there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
