While the channel started with more boilerplate interview and trending <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> coverage, the channel\u2019s popularity ballooned three years ago with the introduction of their signature freestyle <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>. Nowadays, OTR feels like a prerequisite marketing stop for r<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ers, right up there with \u201cwhat do you do for a living?\u201d Tiktoks and absurdist sandwiches made \u201cthe ocky way.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            But over the past month, OTR has ventured into live streamed recording sessions, first with R2R Moe and again this past weekend with producer-crooner 2300. Viewers get to watch the artists hang out and answer softball questions before trawling through beatpacks and cutting rough tracks on camera. At a minimum, it\u2019s a glimpse into the creative process \u2014 at its best, a burgeoning hit can be catapulted straight into the hype cycle well before release.\n          <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"content_block paragraph triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-270208\" class=\"content_block breaker triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left video\">\n<div class=\"media_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"video_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\" style=\"padding-top: 56.25%;\">\n<p>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"R2R Moe, On The Radar - 100 R2NS (Official Audio)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7fsPHKO6J2o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n \/\/trackYouTubeVideo('270208');\n<\/script><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-270209\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            Given the runaway success of the format for poster child Plaqueboymax and rappers from DDG to Lazer Dim 700, it\u2019s by no means a surprising move given the breadth and frequency of OTR\u2019s output. But it does feel like an early indicator that the hanging mic era, oversaturated by clips courtesy of From The Block and Red Mic District and yes, OTR, has peaked. I don\u2019t expect anyone to quit reheating COLORS\u2019s nachos anytime soon \u2014 just watch Rob49 rework \u201cWTHELLY\u201d into \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/N5YnU7DaTB4?si=AFA26xSezpoXslMg&amp;t=164\">WTFUCKY<\/a>\u201d and you\u2019ll understand why OTR was able to run up more than a million subscribers.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            But the potential views (and even streaming revenue) from having an early stake in an up and coming artist\u2019s hit is likely too good for any platform to pass up, even if the format is a touch outside of their comfort zone. As more of these imitators crop up, my one hope is that people would take a page out of PBM\u2019s book and get artists on <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KD7b5kgFJ3Y\">weirder beat combinations<\/a> than their usual fare \u2013 but I won\u2019t hold my breath.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-270210\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            Zooming in on music, April was stacked with new releases, from Cortisa Star\u2019s <i>EMO (EVIL MOTION OVERLOAD)<\/i> to Oodaredevil and Jetsonmade\u2019s <i>SKYDIVIN<\/i>. I\u2019ve been catching way more live shows the past month, from Bossman Dlow and Thirteendegrees to OsamaSon and Jane Remover. As a result, the music I\u2019ve been listening to in recent weeks has been way more uptempo, best-suited for screaming along and blaring out of car windows.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            I was particularly fond of the bop music revivalism of <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/lil2posh\/sets\/fiesta-boy\">lil2posh\u2019s uniformly excellent <i>Fiesta Boy<\/i><\/a> \u2013 when the young Chicago rapper claims he\u2019s got fans in Rio and might do a show in Norway, I completely believe in his ability to take a regional sound global. Moving in almost the opposite direction, Bb trickz is flush with cash and full of pep on the blink-and-it\u2019s-finished <i>80\u2019z<\/i>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>ly bright and sprightly EP that perhaps unsurprisingly sounds even better when she raps in her native Spanish \u2013 the best song is probably \u201cSuperch\u00fa!,\u201d but the most <i>fun<\/i> has to be the chaotic sugar rush of \u201cPepa.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-270211\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>\n            The three mixtapes I\u2019d recommend the most this month are <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/underdog197\/sets\/pre-after-party\"><i>pre after party<\/i> by Cade<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/kindheli\/sets\/melomaniac-5\"><i>MeloManiac<\/i> by k3<\/a>, and <i>Papaholic, Vol. 1<\/i> by Papo2oo4 &amp; Subjxct 5 (more on all of those below), but I\u2019d be remiss if I didn\u2019t bring up a few other favorites. There\u2019s teen Florida rapper <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/percaso\/sets\/fast-car-music\">Percaso\u2019s <i>FAST CAR MUSIC<\/i><\/a>, a brash burst of digitally-inflected bangers that convinces me rage isn\u2019t anywhere close to dead, and the deluxe edition of rap-rocker <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/ezcodylee\/sets\/stuntanddie3\">ezcodylee\u2019s excellent <i>Stunt And Die 3<\/i><\/a>, which manages to sell even the most boneheaded song concepts. The one mixtape I wish I\u2019d had more time with before this column is <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_ncbwFtC_XTkK4W4WGy_dwl7deXPT5C9Uc\">Havinmotion\u2019s latest, <i>Fuck You Pay Me<\/i><\/a> \u2013 the DMV rapper\u2019s releases often seem to slide under the radar, but he\u2019s still rapping as fiercely as ever.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Here are the Top Rap Songs of April 2025.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-270212\" class=\"content_block paragraph video triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<h5 class=\"headline\" style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"cade_%E2%80%9CRut%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>\n        cade, &#8220;Rut&#8221;<br \/>\n      <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<div class=\"media_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"video_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\" style=\"padding-top: 56.25%;\">\n<p>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"rut\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iJyse98CTIs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n \/\/trackYouTubeVideo('270212');\n<\/script><\/p>\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper\" style=\"margin-top: 20px;\">\n<p>Cade\u2019s latest mixtape <i>pre after party<\/i> is a bundle of calm jams that never let knocking hard get in the way of the Detroit rapper\u2019s carefully considered words. His flows are nimble, assonant, delivered in a murmur that might remind you of Niontay or Veeze; a friend recently described his song \u201cwho\u201d as \u201clofi Ice Spice beats to study to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On \u201crut,\u201d his raspy lower-register is imperturbable, comparing the logo on his Evisu jeans to a McDonald\u2019s worker uniform, and handing out \u201cHating Me Awards.\u201d He has a sharp sense of humor and a slick tongue to match, like when he smirks, \u201cyou should work on execution, it was better on the board.\u201d He echoes himself for emphasis before giggling through his next bars. His lyrics are pretty rudimentary \u2014 the \u201cbest\u201d bit of wordplay is a groanworthy mukbang\/oral sex comparison \u2014 but there are flashes of a more capable rapper therein, like when he flexes his translucent CDG shirt.
