A second key visual<\/a> for the upcoming CITY The Animation<\/em> has been released.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CITY The Animation\u00a0<\/em>is set to premiere on July 6 JST (effectively July 7 at 12 AM JST). It is based on\u00a0the\u00a0<\/em>manga<\/a> by\u00a0Nichijou<\/em>\u2018s\u00a0Keiichi Arawi<\/strong>, which ran from 2016 to 2021 in Kodansha\u2019s Morning. Kodansha USA describes the premise as:<\/span><\/p>\n

From Keiichi Arawi, the adored creator of\u00a0nichijou, this surreal-slapstick series<\/a> revolves around a penniless college student, Midori Nagumo, who lives in an ordinary city filled with not-quite-ordinary people. And as this reckless girl runs about, she sets the city in motion.<\/b><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Midori is in a bit of a bind. She is in debt, and her landlady is trying to shake her down for unpaid rent. Her best friend refuses to loan her cash since she\u2019s wised up to her tricks. Maybe some bullying would help. Or a bit of petty theft? Neither is sustainable. Maybe getting a job would settle things\u2026 But working means less time for fun adventures in the big city\u2026<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The anime received an impressive first trailer in March, while the first key visual was revealed in February.<\/span><\/p>\n
