\n\tRagtime<\/em> will be back on Broadway this fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe New York City Center Gala revival of Ragtime<\/em> will play Lincoln Center\u2019s Vivian Beaumont Theater starting Sept. 26. Joshua Henry, Caissie Levy and Brandon Uranowitz will reprise their roles in the production after taking part in the fall 2024 New York City Center production.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThis marks the first production of the season under new Lincoln Center Artistic Director Lear deBessonet. DeBesonnet directs the revival, after directing the fall production while acting as the artistic director of City Center\u2019s Encores!\u00a0She previously directed Into the Woods<\/em> at City Center, which also transferred to Broadway. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe musical revival, which features a score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens and a book by Terrence McNally, is scheduled to open Oct. 16 and run through Jan. 4. Based on E.L. Doctorow\u2019s novel, the show follows three families in the early 1900s trying to pursue the American dream: a Black pianist, Coalhouse Walker Jr. (Henry), and his girlfriend, Sarah,, a Jewish immigrant Tateh (Uranowitz) and his little girl, and a wealthy white family led by Mother (Levy).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tRagtime<\/em> originally ran on Broadway from 1998 to 2000 and then had another Broadway revival from 2009 to 2010.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tHenry has app<\/a>eared on Broadway in Into the Woods, <\/em>as Billy Bigelow <\/em>in the most recent revival of Carousel <\/em>and in Shuffle Along, <\/em>among others.\u00a0<\/em>Levy originated the role of Sheila in the most recent Broadway revival of Hair and has several Broadway credits including as Elsa in Frozen<\/em>, as Rose in the revival of Caroline, or Change<\/em>, and in Leopoldstadt <\/em>opposite Uranowitz. Uranowitz is a Tony Award winner for his role in Leopoldstadt<\/em>, and has appeared on Broadway in Falsettos, An American in Paris<\/em> and more.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe complete cast will be announced at a later date. Ragtime <\/em>is produced by Lincoln Center Theater in association with Tom Kirdahy, Kevin Ryan and Robert Greenblatt.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to deBessonet, the upcoming season at Lincoln Center Theater will be under the leadership of a new executive team including Managing Director Mike Schleifer, Executive Producer Bartlett Sher, Producer Nicole Kastrinos, Executive Director of Development and Planning Naomi Grabel and LCT3 Artistic Director and Producer Maria Manuela Goyane.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
