Bear<\/i>, have dropped their debut single. The mosh-pit ready &#8220;Mental Mentality&#8221; will feature on the band&#8217;s upcoming debut album, titled <i>Mental Madness<\/i>, which is set for release this summer. Scroll down to listen to the track now.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            Matheson, who fronts Pig Pen, screams \u201cI have the mental madness. I\u2019m sick. I\u2019m sick. I\u2019m sick\u201d on a track that sounds both raw and yet arrives with a big old studio shine, mixing beatdown rhythms with thrashier elements. He is backed by guitarists Wade MacNeil (Alexisonfire, Dooms Children) and Daniel Romano, plus drummer Ian Romano and bassist Tommy Major.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            <i>Mental Madness<\/i> will be released on June 27 via Flatspot Records, home to some of the hardcore scene&#8217;s biggest new bands including Speed, Scowl, and End It. Press materials note that the album was created over two days in 2022: one day of writing and another in the studio.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            In a statement, Matheson described the album as exploring \u201cmental health shit\u201d and \u201cletting your mind destroy you.\u201d \u201cYou can be having a beautiful day, surrounded by friends,\u201d Matheson said, \u201cand your brain can continuously ruin it. No matter how good or bad your life is, you can still<br \/>hate yourself.
