A$AP Rocky app<\/a>ears to have gotten the bug for acting and is targeting one of the most sought after roles in Hollywood.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Variety<\/em><\/a>, Rocky admitted that he wanted to get involved in action movies<\/a> after doing some stunt work on his upcoming film, Highest 2 Lowest<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In particular, Rocky said he would be interested in playing 007: \u201cI\u2019m down for whatever. I think I need to be the new Black James Bond. Like, why not? If we hit the gym, I\u2019ma be aight. Right now I\u2019m in dad mode; you\u2019re gonna have to give me a couple months.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rapper and burgeoning actor also revealed his desire to appear in something that was family friendly.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI want to do something for my children. Everybody\u2019s doing Despicable Me<\/em> and SpongeBob<\/em> and shit like that. I want to do an original DreamWorks\/Pixar-ass film, like Soul<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like the internet stuff too, like Gracie\u2019s Corner<\/em>. I hate Cocomelon<\/em>. Cocomelon<\/em> is bad for the kids, man, but Gracie\u2019s is hittin\u2019. I just hope my kids don\u2019t grow up and think that shit was lame. So, whatever I do, it\u2019s gonna be cool and timeless.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Rocky revealed that he once auditioned to play Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI auditioned for Star Wars \u2014 for Lando \u2014 and my audition was trash. I was trash that day.<\/p>\n

Rocky also admitted Donald Glover was deserving of the role: \u201cMy man Childish Gambino was a way better Lando than I would\u2019ve provided at that time. And I think he looked a little more like [Billy Dee Williams] than me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rocky would go on to be asked if he would still put himself forward for a Star Wars role in the future and he answered: \u201cHell, yeah.\u201d<\/p>\n

A$AP Rocky is set to be seen in Spike Lee\u2019s Highest 2 Lowest,<\/em> his biggest acting role to date that also sees him star alongside Denzel Washington and Jeffrey Wright.<\/p>\n

A trailer for the crime drama recently dropped with the film scheduled to be released in cinemas on August 22 before debuting on Apple TV+ on September 5.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
