Tens of millions of dollars in deposits made by consumers, mostly customers of fintechs that worked with Synapse, remain unaccounted for. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yet <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theinformation.com\/articles\/ex-synapse-ceos-robot-startup-targets-1-billion-valuation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">according to The Information<\/a>, Pathak is reportedly moving full steam ahead on attempts to fundraise for his new venture, humanoid robotics startup <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/foundation.bot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Foundation<\/a>. Pathak is said to be in the midst of raising $100 million for Foundation at a whopping $1 billion valuation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The numbers seem particularly ambitious considering the startup only debuted its humanoid robot, Phantom, earlier this year. Foundation only last August raised $11 million in a pre-seed funding round from Tribe Capital and \u201cother angels.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Foundation\u2019s self-proclaimed mission is to \u201ccreate advanced humanoid robots that can operate in complex environments\u201d to address the labor shortage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TechCrunch has reached out to Pathak for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
