Summer Walker has announced a split from rapp<\/a>er Rico Recklezz just months after the pair went public with their seemingly hot and heavy romance.<\/p>\n

As the story goes, Rico had sent Summer DMs for the last eight years trying to get her attention, and she finally gave him a chance late last year. Since then, the pair have been inseparable\u2026until now.<\/p>\n

Taking to her Instagram Story this week, Summer announced she is single once again \u2013 while simultaneously revealing that Playboi Carti will be on her next album.<\/p>\n

With a photo from the studio alongside Carti and his girlfriend, Summer wrote,\u201dYes I\u2019m single but don\u2019t be weird now y\u2019all. I can\u2019t even think about fuckin w another man. I love Rico. He really is a sweet man when he wants to be\u2026 That\u2019s my Pumkin for life, things just didn\u2019t align how we wanted cause we from two different worlds. Let\u2019s move on now n not create false narratives.<\/p>\n

In a second slide, she added: \u201cI\u2019m literally honestly & truly over men like that\u2019s it for me. I find more peace in alone, but let\u2019s normalize moving on without mess. No disrespect no hard feelings no bad mouthing each other. Everything copacetic on my end, it\u2019s all lessons n love.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rico also seems like he\u2019s okay with it all, writing on his own story: \u201cI love my life an I love God so much I\u2019m so thankful n grateful yall jus don\u2019t kno how blessed n favored I am n how good God is.\u201d<\/p>\n
