\n A convicted serial bank robber who hit the same Queens bank three times in three months has escaped from a Brooklyn halfway house and remains on the loose, according to records.<\/p>\n

Daryll Allen, 56, who was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison in 2014 for pulling off the bank heists, walked out of the halfway house at 6:56 a.m. Friday and never returned, the US Federal Bureau of Prisons said in a letter to Brooklyn prosecutors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere has been no media<\/a> attention regarding this case,\u201d the letter said, adding that he is a threat to the public.<\/p>\n

Allen was charged with robbing a Queens Chase Bank branch three times between May and July 2012, court records show.<\/p>\n

In the first heist, he walked into the Rockaway Beach Boulevard bank on May 18 and handed the teller a note reading, \u201cDON\u2019T ALERT NO ONE, I HAVE A GUN.\u201d He told the teller, \u201cYou better not touch the alarm until I walk out the door.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allen walked away with $8,099, the records show.<\/p>\n

On June 22 he was back at the bank \u2014 and face-to-face with the same teller. This time he handed the teller a note that read, \u201cI HAVE A GUN I WILL USE IT.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the teller began reaching for $1 and $5 bills, Allen \u201creached into a black messenger bag and retrieved a gun-like object that was wrapp<\/a>ed in a black plastic bag and yelled in substance \u2018Give me the 100s,’\u201d according to a sentencing memorandum.<\/p>\n

He left the bank with $2,309.<\/p>\n

Then, on July 16, he returned to the Chase branch again and fled with $3,460 after again flashing a note and claiming to have a gun.<\/p>\n

However, Allen dropped his hat during the first two robberies, and the city medical examiner was able to identify him through his DNA.<\/p>\n

He was indicted by a grand jury on Oct. 25, 2013, and cut a deal to plead guilty to two of the robberies five days later, the records show.<\/p>\n

Allen was sent to a federal prison in Cumberland, Maryland, but was transferred to the Brooklyn halfway house in June of this year.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
