Re:ZERO<\/em> author and creator Tapp<\/a>ei Nagatsuki<\/strong> is writing the scenario for MONOCHROME SERENADE<\/em>, a newly announced visual novel from Laplacian <\/strong>that is is slated for a 2026 release.<\/span><\/p>\n

Details about the game<\/a>\u2019s premise are currently unknown. A visual for MONOCHROME SERENADE\u00a0<\/em>provides a vague teaser by showing a girl standing among what appears to be the ruins of a city. The girl sports a hooded red cape and green eyes, which are notable exceptions to the image\u2019s largely monochrome look.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pellet<\/strong> and Shimofuri <\/strong>are credited with the original art. The title has an estimated length of 10 hours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In an X repost<\/a>, Nagatsuki, a visual novel fan, expressed his enthusiasm at finally being able to write one in a professional capacity. He previously wrote a Re:ZERO<\/em> collaboration event scenario for Princess Connect! Re:DIVE<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

MONOCHROME SERENADE\u00a0<\/em>was announced alongside three other visual novels: Kioku no Kenban <\/em>(Summer 2025 release), Kugayama Shiori no Shinisama Techou <\/em>(2026 release), and Isomerica <\/em>(no release date yet). Kioku no Kenban\u00a0<\/em>is based on a novel that\u2019s launching on June 25, 2025 JST, with Wasabi Ono<\/strong> being both the author of the book and the game\u2019s scenario writer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Laplacian previously visual novels like Cyanotype Daydream -The Girl Who Dreamed the World-<\/em> and <\/span>The Future Radio and the Artificial Pigeons<\/em>. The company is also involved with other ventures like manga<\/a>, music, and UI design.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
