\n\tConstantin Film picked up the film for Germany and Austria, Filmcoopi has acquired rights for Switzerland, and September Film will handle release in the Benelux region.<\/p>\n

\n\tKingsley Ben-Adir\u00a0(Bob Marley: One Love<\/em>,\u00a0Barbie<\/em>) and Rob Morgan (Mudbound<\/em>,\u00a0Don\u2019t Look Up<\/em>) star in the English-language debut from Swiss-Italian director Petra Volpe, whose\u00a0recent feature\u00a0Late Shift<\/em>\u00a0drew acclaim at this year\u2019s Berlinale and became a local box office success in German-speaking Europe. TrustNordisk is handling international sales.<\/p>\n

\n\tSet within the walls of a U.S. prison,\u00a0Frank & Louis<\/em>\u00a0follows Frank (Ben-Adir), a man serving a life sentence who takes on a caretaking role for aging inmates suffering from memory loss. The BAFTA-nominated British actor has drawn attention from recent turns as Bob Marley in Reinaldo Marcus Green\u2019s\u00a0Bob Marley: One Love<\/em>\u00a0and Malcolm X in Regina King\u2019s\u00a0One Night in Miami<\/em>.\u00a0Morgan, known for\u00a0The Last Black Man in San Francisco<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Bull<\/em>, stars as Louis, a fellow inmate living with memory decline.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhat begins as a calculated attempt to improve his parole prospects evolves into a deeply personal connection with another prisoner, reframing the protagonist\u2019s understanding of dignity, responsibility, and redemption.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe ensemble also includes Indira Varma (Game<\/a> of Thrones<\/em>), Rosalind Eleazar (Slow Horses<\/em>), and Grammy-winning artist Ren\u00e9 P\u00e9rez Joglar, a.k.a. Residente, who recently earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for his performance in\u00a0In the Summers<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tFrank & Louis<\/em>\u00a0was co-written by Volpe and Esther Bernstorff (4 Kings<\/em>), and produced by Reto Schaerli and Lukas Hobi for Zodiac Pictures, with Georgie Paget and Thembisa Cochrane of Caspian Films serving as co-producers. It is supported by Swiss public broadcaster SRF and SRG SSR, along with backing from national and regional film funds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
