Have a great weekend!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Uh-oh:<\/strong> Coinbase says that customers\u2019 personal information, including government-issued IDs, was stolen in a data breach. The hackers demanded $20 million from the company, CEO Brian Armstrong <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/brian_armstrong\/status\/1922967787309256807\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">said in a post on X<\/a>. Coinbase said it will not pay the hackers\u2019 ransom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>IPO time, baby: <\/strong>After filing confidentially in December, Chime filed for an IPO this week. There are a ton of blanks in the S-1, so we didn\u2019t get much information, like how many shares insiders plan to sell as part of the IPO. But we did learn one tidbit: Chime entered a deal with the Dallas Mavericks in 2018, which gained it the Chime logo on the team\u2019s jersey, among other marketing benefits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Knock on wood:<\/strong> This story has been popping off all week \u2014 InventWood created wood called \u201cSuperwood\u201d that\u2019s as strong as steel. The most recent case: Granola, an AI note-taking app that\u2019s recently seen a boost in usage, even though it launched a year ago. And when there\u2019s usage, money follows. The company announced it has raised $43 million in a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Series<\/a> B funding round at a valuation of $250 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Choice words: <\/strong>\u201cGoogle has chilled independent firms like YC from funding and accelerating innovative startups that could otherwise have challenged Google\u2019s dominance,\u201d YC wrote in an amicus brief it submitted in the U.S.\u2019 antitrust case against the search giant. But YC isn\u2019t calling for a complete breakup of Google.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Love to see it: <\/strong>Apple announced a bunch of accessibility features, including Accessibility Nutrition Labels that will inform users of accessibility features within apps and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s in the App Store; a new magnifier for Macs; a new Braille experience; and more.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Layoffs at Microsoft: <\/strong>The company is reportedly laying off 3% of its workforce, or around 6,500 people, affecting all levels, locations, and teams. This follows a solid quarter for Microsoft, with $70.1 billion in revenue (up 13%) and net income profits of $25.8 billion (up 28%). In Washington, around 40% of the 2,000 people laid off were engineers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Gemini in your car:<\/strong> At the Android Show \u2014 Google\u2019s Android-only event a week ahead of Google I\/O \u2014 the company announced that it\u2019s bringing Gemini to cars that support Android Auto. Drivers (and passengers) will be able to send texts, play music, and all the other things a smart assistant does, but using natural language.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LOL: <\/strong>What once was called HBO Go before it changed its name to HBO Now, which later became HBO Max, before settling on Max, announced this week that it\u2019s once again changing its name back to HBO Max.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Just call it a bus: <\/strong>Uber is introducing Route Share, a commuter shuttle service that will pick up passengers at pre-set stops in 20-minute intervals. \u201cYou can see a natural extension of us being able to bring Route Share to autonomous vehicles as well,\u201d Sachin Kansal, Uber\u2019s chief product officer, told us.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wait, what? <\/strong>The New York Times spoke with two investors who said they were pitched a new startup that aims to deliver \u201chuman health optimization\u201d using blood testing. Sound familiar? But wait till you hear who pitched the startup: Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes\u2019 partner, Billy Evans.
