Blackstone reported holding just over $1 million worth of shares in BlackRock\u2019s spot Bitcoin ETF as of March 31, its first ever crypto-related purchase.<\/p>\n

Blackstone, which bills itself as the \u201cthe world\u2019s largest alternative asset manager,\u201d disclosed its first-ever crypto-related purchase, buying shares in BlackRock\u2019s spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund.<\/p>\n

However, Blackstone\u2019s investment, reported in a May 20 filing<\/a> with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, only totaled around $1.08 million \u2014 a fraction of the asset manager\u2019s $1.2 trillion portfolio.<\/p>\n

Blackstone reported holding 23,094 shares of BlackRock\u2019s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) as of March 31.<\/p>\n
