\n\tActress and model Elizabeth\u00a0Hurley will play a \u201cdearly departed\u201d and \u201cfabulously glamorous benefactor\u201d in the upcoming Channel 4 reality series<\/a> The Deceased<\/em>, the U.K. broadcaster unveiled on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThirteen strangers are summoned to a grand stately home. They are there to compete for part of the fortune left in the will of The Deceased,\u201d according to a show descript<\/a>ion. \u201cBut winning the money won\u2019t be easy. The Deceased had a wicked sense of humor and has designed a mischievous game<\/a> to ensure only the best players can get their hands on her inheritance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOverseeing the stipulations of The Deceased\u2019s is her executor and trusted legal counsel,\u00a0portrayed by lawyer and British TV personality Robert\u00a0Rinder.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe lucky 13 must work as a team to complete The Deceased\u2019s final requests, a series of devilishly difficult assignments that will demand they are clever, collaborative and cunning,\u201d said Channel 4. In a key twist, only one player can claim the money gained in each request.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s a thrill to be part of this clever game, playing The Deceased,\u201d Hurley\u00a0said. \u201cIt all takes place on her huge estate in the English countryside, and she dresses to the nines in every scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAdded Rinder: \u201cThis is a high-stakes strategy game served with a side of scheming and sabotage. As The Executor I enforce the rules, keep the chaos in check \u2013 more or less \u2013 and make sure our players are deserving of every glittering penny left by our dearly departed deceased, played by the iconic Elizabeth\u00a0Hurley.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Inheritance<\/em>\u00a0will air on Channel 4 this fall.\u00a0The 12-episode series is co-produced by Studio Lambert, part of All3Media<\/a>, owned by Jeff Zucker and Gerry Cardinale\u2019s RedBird IMI, and GroupM Motion Entertainment. It was commissioned for Channel 4 by Steve Handley, head of reality & entertainment, with Tom Beck, head of live events and commissioning editor, reality & entertainment and Genna Gibson, commissioning editor, reality & entertainment.<\/p>\n
