\n\tRene\u00e9 Rapp<\/a>\u2018s mother seemingly knew her daughter was destined for pop stardom even before she was born.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe singer-actress recently shared on the Good Hang with Amy Poehler<\/em> podcast <\/a>how her mom, Denise Rapp, manifested her music career when choosing her name.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy mom chose my first and last name to be, well, okay, arguably chose my first and last name to both have [two letter R\u2019s],\u201d the \u201cToo Well\u201d artist said. \u201cShe was like, \u2018Alliteration, just in case she wants to be a pop star\u2019 before I was born.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThough Rapp quipped that the move was \u201cconceited,\u201d she confessed that she\u2019s actually \u201cobsessed with the way [her mother] did it,\u201d adding, \u201cI\u2019m like, thank you, God.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPoehler, seemingly impressed by the coincidence, responded, \u201cShe gave you a pop star name just in case, because Rene\u00e9 Rapp is a huge pop star name.\u201d Rapp added, \u201cIt\u2019s a really good one!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cLeave Me Alone\u201d singer got her entertainment start in the Broadway musical\u00a0Mean Girls<\/em>, playing Regina George. She later reprised her role in the 2024 movie musical adaptation. In addition to her music career, she also starred on the HBO show\u00a0The Sex Lives of College Girls<\/em> before exiting during season three.<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, music is where Rapp\u2019s passion truly lies. She released her debut studio album, Snow Angel,\u00a0<\/em>in 2023, and is set to release her sophomore album,\u00a0Bite Me<\/em>, in August.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe also dropped her new single, \u201cLeave Me Alone,\u201d last week and seemingly dissed her old job, The Sex Lives of College Girls<\/em>, in one of the lyrics. \u201cI took my sex life with me, now the show ain\u2019t fucking \/ Leave me alone, bitch, I wanna have fun,\u201d Rapp sings in the second verse, alluding to the show\u2019s cancellation after season three.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
