White House AI and crypto czar David Sacks says the US could buy more Bitcoin if the government can fund the purchase in a \u201cbudget-neutral\u201d way without a tax or adding to the growing national debt.<\/p>\n
Sacks told<\/a> Gemini co-founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss during a May 27 fireside chat at the Bitcoin 2025 conference that while he \u201ccan\u2019t promise anything,\u201d a pathway does exist for the government to buy more Bitcoin (BTC).<\/p>\n However, it would require convincing Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick or Treasury Secretary Scott Besson to OK the buy and fund it \u201cwithout a new tax or adding to the debt,\u201d Sacks said, adding that \u201cmaybe by finding the money from some other program that\u2019s not using it \u2014 then we could potentially acquire more Bitcoin.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more<\/p>\n<\/p>\n If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
