\n\tIt turns out that Dexter Morgan is not alone in his proclivities. In fact, when he lands in New York City, he finds himself among an Avengers<\/em>-style gathering of serial killers, and decides to lean into his dark passenger.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt least that\u2019s what the trailer for sequel series<\/a> Dexter: Resurrection<\/em> implied when it dropped on Saturday at CCXP Mexico City. The footage gives fans of the Dexter<\/em> franchise their biggest peek yet into what showrunner Clyde Phillips and star Michael C. Hall have in store when they resurrect Dexter Morgan this summer.<\/p>\n

\n\tHall reprises his role as the titular serial killer for the sequel series, which is releasing after the first season of origin story Dexter: Original Sin.<\/em> Dexter: Resurrection<\/em> is a continuation of the first sequel series\u00a0Dexter: New Blood<\/em>\u00a0and picks up immedia<\/a>tely after that 2021 limited series left off, with Dexter surviving being shot by his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott, who also returns). <\/p>\n

\n\tDexter\u2019s resuscitation was first\u00a0revealed\u00a0in a flash-forward in\u00a0Dexter: Original Sin<\/em> (which has been\u00a0renewed for a second season and was also headed up by Phillips).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe trailer below shows that Resurrection<\/em> will waste no time getting into the long-awaited reunion between Dexter and his former pal and coworker,\u00a0Miami Metro\u2019s Angel Batista (David Zayas). New Blood <\/em>ended with Batista realizing Dexter could be the infamous Bay Harbor Butcher, and the detective confronts his former friend with the accusation while Dexter is still recovering in the hospital. The reunion sends Dexter running, and he picks New York City as a great place to try to be anonymous in.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe trailer doesn\u2019t show exactly how it happ<\/a>ens, but he ends up hooking up with new franchise characters played by Uma Thurman and Peter Dinklage, and that\u2019s where he\u2019s introduced to more serial killers played by Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet and David Dastmalchian, who guest star as Lowell, Mia, Al and Gareth, respectively.\u00a0\u201cOnly in New York,\u201d says Dexter.<\/p>\n
