{"id":673001,"date":"2025-06-02T15:00:13","date_gmt":"2025-06-02T12:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/people-can-fly-cancels-square-enix-published-project-gemini-vr-game-project-bifrost\/"},"modified":"2025-06-02T15:00:13","modified_gmt":"2025-06-02T12:00:13","slug":"people-can-fly-cancels-square-enix-published-project-gemini-vr-game-project-bifrost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/people-can-fly-cancels-square-enix-published-project-gemini-vr-game-project-bifrost\/","title":{"rendered":"People Can Fly cancels Square Enix-published Project Gemini, VR game Project Bifrost"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>People Can Fly has canceled two in-development projects\u2014the Square Enix-published <em>Project Gemini<\/em> and the self-published virtual reality <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> <em>Project Bifrost<\/em>\u2014and will lay off staff as a result, studio CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski said in a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link-external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PCFPeopleCanFly\/status\/1929140540697727466\" target=\"_blank\">message<\/a>. <span id=\"more-968694\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The developer is also working on <em>Gears of War: E-Day<\/em> in cooperation with The Coalition, and <em>Project Delta<\/em> in cooperation with Sony Interactive Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the full message from Wojciechowski:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Today we made a very difficult decision to suspend the development of <em>Project Gemini<\/em> and <em>Project Bifrost<\/em>\u2014the relevant current reports have been released to the market.<\/p>\n<p>The suspension of the <em>Gemini<\/em> project is a consequence of the fact that the Publisher has not presented us with a draft of the subsequent content rider to the Publishing Agreement covering the terms and conditions of further milestones on project <em>Gemini<\/em> and the lack of communication from the Publisher as to its willingness to continue or terminate the <em>Gemini<\/em> project.<\/p>\n<p><em>Project Bifrost<\/em> was suspended due to the above and the analysis of the Group\u2019s cash flow, which showed a lack of prospects for securing organizational resources and funds necessary to continue the production and release of this project.<\/p>\n<p><!-- AD: content --><\/p>\n<p>As a result, we have to significantly regroup as a studio and scale down our teams, which hurts the most.<\/p>\n<p>We wish to express our deepest regret and sadness over how these events have unfolded and our sincere gratitude for everyone\u2019s contribution up to this point.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014Sebastian Wojciechowski, CEO<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
