Kraken\u2019s security team says that at crypto conferences, it\u2019s seen unlocked laptops, phones left unattended and public discussions about personal wealth.<\/p>\n
Crypto conference attendees fail at \u201cbasic situational awareness\u201d and security measures, opening themselves up to exploitation by bad actors hiding in the crowd at events, says crypto exchange Kraken.<\/p>\n
Kraken\u2019s security team noted a \u201ctroubling trend\u201d of laptops and phones owned by popular crypto protocols left unlocked and unguarded on tables at events \u2014 as \u201cwallet notifications ping in real time,\u201d Kraken\u2019s security chief Nick Percoco said<\/a> in a June 5 blog post.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you\u2019re in crypto, your digital device is not just a phone or a laptop.
