\n\tStick the stars of six top comedies around a table for an hour, and it becomes increasingly impossible to keep composure. At least, that was the case for The Hollywood Reporter\u2019<\/em>s latest Comedy Actor Emmy roundtable, featuring\u00a0Adam Brody\u00a0(Nobody Wants This<\/em>),\u00a0Ted Danson\u00a0(A Man on the Inside<\/em>),\u00a0John Mulaney\u00a0(Everybody\u2019s Live<\/em>),\u00a0Seth Rogen\u00a0(The Studio<\/em>),\u00a0Jason Segel\u00a0(Shrinking<\/em>) and\u00a0Julio Torres\u00a0(Fantasmas<\/em>).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe rollicking conversation hit on topics as far ranging as the ways in which they\u2019ve been typecast \u2014 the schlubby stoner type (Rogen), the confident nerd (Brody), the \u201csoulless wooden boy who\u2019s fast on his feet\u201d (Mulaney) \u2014 to the \u201cdream roles\u201d they didn\u2019t land. (Spoiler: Brody fought hard for Blues Clues.<\/em>) They also talked in earnest about the most challenging period in their careers and swapp<\/a>ed tales about the most baffling creative notes they\u2019ve ever received.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt one point, the six men even found themselves on an outrageous tangent about actresses who play princesses at Disney parks. As it turns out, Rogen knew a woman who used to be a Disney princess, and, as he shared, she has some amazing stories. \u201cI remember asking my friend, like, \u2018I bet there\u2019s a lot of guys who are handsy with the princesses?\u2019 She\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, very much.\u2019 That\u2019s a big problem,\u201d he revealed. When asked how the princesses in the parks respond, Rogen said they have a party line: \u201cThe prince wouldn\u2019t like that.\u201d Perhaps unsurprisingly, the line elicited an instant \u201cEww\u201d from nearly everyone at the table.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt another point during the hour, several of the actors assembled were quietly, if hilariously, re-evaluating their life choices, as Torres explained how he doesn\u2019t have a credit card. \u201cIt\u2019s an aversion to being part of systems that I don\u2019t consent to being a part of,\u201d he told the group. \u201cI get to decide whether or not I play a board game<\/a>, why am I being forced to have a credit score? According to who? You\u2019re grading me on my credit? Like, no.\u201d Mulaney looked like his mind had been blown by Torres\u2019 explanation, but he said no: \u201cHis answer about how the credit score is not a game he consented to, I just really liked. So, I was more like, can I apply this to my own life? And then immedia<\/a>tely, no.\u201d<\/p>\n
