The Disney \u00a0She-Hulk<\/em><\/strong> series has found a director:\u00a0Kat Coiro<\/strong>. Coiro\u2019s credits include episodes of\u00a0It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em>,\u00a0Dead to Me<\/em>,\u00a0Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em>, and more, as well as the upcoming feature\u00a0Marry Me<\/em>. Coiro is in negotiations to helm the pilot of the\u00a0She-Hulk<\/em> series, as well as several other episodes while also serving as executive producer.<\/p>\n

Deadline has the scoop on the\u00a0She-Hulk<\/em> director, Kat Coiro.\u00a0She-Hulk<\/em> is one of several Marvel-centric shows cooking over at Disney , joining a list that includes\u00a0The Falcon and the Winter Soldier<\/em>, due out this year;\u00a0WandaVision<\/em>, set for December;\u00a0Loki<\/em>, coming early 2021;\u00a0What If\u2026?<\/em>, which is set for mid-2021; and the following, which are all scheduled for 2022 at the moment:\u00a0Hawkeye<\/em>,\u00a0Ms. Marvel<\/em>, and\u00a0Moon Knight<\/em>.<\/p>\n

She-Hulk<\/em> is also set for 2022, with\u00a0Rick And Morty<\/em> writer Jessica Gao<\/strong> in charge of the writer\u2019s room. In the comics, She-Hulk is Jennifer Walters, \u201ca lawyer who, after an injury, received an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner, and acquired a milder version of his Hulk condition. As such, Walters becomes a large, powerful green-hued version of herself; however, unlike Banner, she still largely retains her personality \u2013 in particular, she retains the majority of her intelligence and emotional control, although like Hulk, she is still susceptible to outbursts of temper and becomes much stronger if enraged. In later issues of the comics, her transformation is permanent.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no word yet on when\u00a0She-Hulk<\/em> might begin production. As of now, Marvel is searching for a lead actress to play the part. As a result, that 2022 release might change, since everything is up in the air at the moment. A live-action\u00a0She-Hulk<\/em> movie was once in the works in the 1990s, with legendary B-movie filmmaker\u00a0Larry Cohen attached to write and direct, and\u00a0Brigitte Nielsen set to star. The film was ultimately never made, which is a bummer, because I would love to see a\u00a0She-Hulk<\/em> movie from Larry freakin\u2019 Cohen. Oh well.<\/p>\n
