WEBTOON<\/b> announced that it is teaming up with DJ and producer <\/span>Slushii<\/b>\u2019s <\/span>SONICdream<\/b> creative label on a new webcomic series<\/a> titled <\/span>Sapient Dream<\/span><\/i>. The webcomic will debut exclusively on the <\/span>English-language platform<\/span> on July 6, 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The original \u201cshonen action\u201d science<\/a> fiction webcomic is created by <\/span>Julian Scanlan <\/b>(the real name of Slushii) and anime<\/a> producer <\/span>Rob Pereyda<\/b>, with production being credited to <\/span>Merryweather Media<\/a><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sapient Dream<\/span><\/i> is described as a work that builds off of Slushii\u2019s hit song, \u201cPast Lives.\u201d which has amassed over 16 billion streams on TikTok and YouTube. Each webcomic episode will feature brand-new immersive music overlays created just for WEBTOON that interplay with Slushii\u2019s upcoming <\/span>Chrysalis<\/span><\/i> album.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Slushii and WEBTOON will also be present at Anime Expo 2025 for a joint panel app<\/a>earance about <\/span>Sapient Dream<\/span><\/i>, a meet & greet at the WEBTOON Booth (Entertainment Hall E-90), and a special Anime Expo concert.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
