BEEP has delayed<\/a> shoot \u2019em up sequel Cotton Reboot! High Tension!<\/em> from its previously planned July 24 release date to July 31 in Japan. It will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch. <\/p>\n

A sequel to the 2021-released Cotton Reboot!<\/em> The gluttonous witch Nata de Cotton is back in action! Dig into this powered-up, exhilarating witch shoot \u2019em up game!<\/p>\n

This sequel to the side-scrolling shoot \u2019em up Cotton Reboot!<\/em> has been meticulously crafted from the ground up.<\/p>\n

While \u201cWillows\u201d are an important item in the Cotton<\/em> series<\/a>, this time they\u2019ve taken on a sinister form, plunging the fairy kingdom into chaos. Joining Cotton and Silk on this absurd adventure is the new character Macaron.<\/p>\n

The gameplay is even more thrilling, with beautiful graphics and powerful new magic. Additionally, when you collect a certain number of items, you\u2019ll enter \u201cOver Tension,\u201d unlocking a level of \u201chigh tension\u201d never-before-seen in the series.<\/p>\n

Along with returning classic magic like \u201cFire Dragon\u201d and \u201cLightning,\u201d the game introduces a new attack system called \u201cEnemy Capture,\u201d which lets you use enemy characters to help clear each stage. The \u201cFever\u201d system from the previous game also returns, now enhanced as the more-exhilarating \u201cWillow Fever.\u201d<\/p>\n

When your gauge reaches 100 percent, \u201cOver Tension\u201d will activate, doubling your score. Enemy attacks become more extreme, but you can use powerful hidden magic to significantly boost your score. Aim for the high score!<\/p>\n

Former Namco composer Hiroyuki Kawada (known for works like Valkyrie no Bouken<\/em> and Youkai Douchuki<\/em>) and chiptune music unit YMCK are composing the stage music. The game will be further elevated with new tracks by this exceptional composition team.<\/p>\n
