Gunna has thanked fans for sticking with him through the controversies of recent years.<\/p>\n

Sitting for a chat with will.i.am for Uproxx<\/em><\/a>, the Atlanta rapp<\/a>er was thankful for the support he has received as he has battled RICO charges and a fallout with YSL.<\/p>\n

Gunna was asked by the Black Eyed Peas star about the reception he received when he returned to live performing after his time in jail.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFukumean\u201d rapper responded: \u201cIt\u2019s one of the best feelings in the world, that I\u2019ll never forget. I never take it for granted. I can just go back to that time and be like, \u2018Man, my fans really came through for me.\u2019 It was about me but it was really about them showing up for me. I got die-hard fans, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gunna also had a direct message for his fans: \u201cFirst, thank you for being with me. And never give up. Don\u2019t stop, especially when they want you to stop. Really keep going then. That\u2019s when you really, really push. Pray until something happens. A lot of things will pull you down or get it your way\u2026 when you get over the hump, you feel stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since agreeing a plea deal in 2022, Gunna has been plagued by snitching accusations, something put to bed by the rapper\u2019s former lawyer, Steve Sadow.<\/p>\n

Sadow explained: \u201cI was Gunna\u2019s attorney but I am NOT speaking on his behalf. This long post is solely to set out the truth. Gunna did NOT cooperate, and did NOTHING and said NOTHING to cause harm to Thug\u2019s case. He spent 8 months in jail and was released in Dec. 2022 after entering an Alford plea. Gunna\u2019s plea could not and was not used at Thug\u2019s trial and he was never even named as a witness. He received a 5-yr suspended sentence, with no reporting, no travel<\/a> restrictions, no living restrictions, AND NO PROBATION.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the last two years, from media<\/a> reports, he has performed all over the world, achieved international fame and recognition, and earned millions of dollars. Conversely, Thug went to trial and eventually pled guilty and nolo after spending 30-months in jail, received 15 years probation, with reporting conditions and is not even allowed to live in Atlanta. THOSE THAT HAVE AND CONTINUE TO BAD MOUTH GUNNA, GET OVER IT. NUFF\u2019 SAID.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
