Chris Brown has settled a lawsuit filed by Abe Diaw who accused the controversial singer of striking him with a bottle of alcohol in London in 2023.<\/p>\n

Diaw has filed to voluntarily dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice meaning that it can\u2019t be refiled, a common sign when a settlement has been reached between two parties.<\/p>\n

Brown and Diaw have yet to comment on the end of the lawsuit but the \u201cWith You\u201d singer still faces criminal charges over the incident.<\/p>\n

Brown was arrested in May in Manchester, England and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent related to an incident in a London nightclub in 2023.<\/p>\n

He was originally denied bail and remanded in custody until June 13, just two days before the start of his Breezy Bowl tour in the same city he was arrested in.<\/p>\n

However, the judge later changed their mind and agreed to release Brown if he paid almost $7 million in bail money.<\/p>\n

Brown has to abide by a number of strict conditions as per his release.<\/p>\n

As well as the nearly $7 million sum, he must live at an address in the UK up until his trial and surrender his passport to the authorities.<\/p>\n

However, he will be allowed to travel<\/a> internationally for the purpose of his tour.<\/p>\n

In his initial lawsuit, Diaw alleged Brown had inflicted severe and lasting injuries\u201d on him after \u201cbeating him over the head\u201d with a bottle of tequila.<\/p>\n

Brown was also accused of \u201cruthlessly\u201d stomping on Diaw\u2019s head while he was on the ground which resulted in him being knocked unconscious.<\/p>\n

The incident was caught by CCTV which is now in the hands of prosecutors who describe the situation as \u201cextremely serious\u201d.<\/p>\n

Diaw further accused Brown of \u201cspreading false rumors\u201d about him in the aftermath of the alleged incident.<\/p>\n

Brown later referenced his arrest during his show in Manchester, thanking the prison he was held in after being taken into custody.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI just want to tell you all, I love you all to death, I am so thankful that I could come out here tonight. Thank you all for having me and supporting me and thank you to the jail, y\u2019all was really nice.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
