Richards, a DJ under the name Destructo and the replacement for former CEO Josh Wyatt, reportedly said that the company was \u201cbleeding money\u201d and that \u201cthey\u2019re looking to get a buyer, but it\u2019s impossible right now.\u201d\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            The FADER reached out to Avant Gardner representatives for a comment, but have not yet received a response.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            Earlier this year, Avant Gardner <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.archpaper.com\/2025\/03\/brooklyn-mirage-avant-gardner-renovation\/\">revealed<\/a> that Brooklyn Mirage had undergone an extensive <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DHJHUV9A_XO\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=5\">redesign<\/a> during winter 2025. The updated building, slated to open on May 1, would incorporate opera style balconies and the world\u2019s first fully kinetic shutter system in a music venue, and cost at least $10 million, according to the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/12\/13\/nyregion\/brooklyn-avant-gardner-security.html\"><i>New York Times<\/i><\/a>. However, the venue is still closed, and its lineup of shows have been cancelled or relocated as the company gr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>les with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DJIHcMCgfZq\/?hl=en\">delayed schedules<\/a>, failed safety inspections, and permitting issues.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            While the company hasn\u2019t made any official statements about the future of the venue, an anonymous Avant Gardner insider reportedly <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bkmag.com\/2025\/07\/08\/avant-gardner-reportedly-looking-to-sell-the-business\/\">confirmed<\/a> Richards\u2019 statements.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            \u201cIf they don\u2019t get bought, they\u2019ll definitely have to file bankruptcy,\u201d the source said. \u201cThe company is so broke that certain employees are missing months of back pay and they\u2019re not paying any holiday incentive wages.
