\n\tMore than a week after Julian McMahon\u2018s death, his precise cause of death has now been revealed.<\/p>\n

\n\tMcMahon died on Wednesday, July 2 in Clearwater, Florida, after a private battle with cancer, The Hollywood Reporter <\/em>learned at the time. He was 56. However, it\u2019s now been revealed that the Australian actor died from lung metastasis as a result of head and neck metastatic cancer, according to a Cremation App<\/a>roval Summary Report from the Pinellas County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office in Florida viewed by multiple outlets, including THR<\/em>. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor was known for his work in film and TV on projects like the 2005 and 2007 Fantastic Four<\/em> films, Ryan Murphy\u2019s Nip\/Tuck<\/em>, the WB\u2019s Charmed<\/em> and this year\u2019s The Residence <\/em>and The Surfer. <\/em><\/p>\n

\n\tHis wife, Kelly McMahon, previously shared a statement with THR<\/em>, \u201cWith an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer. Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans,\u201d she said. \u201cHis deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing the news<\/a> of his death, many of his former co-stars took to social media<\/a> to share their condolences including Ioan Gruffudd and Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four<\/em>), Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan\u00a0(Charmed<\/em>) as wells as others. <\/p>\n

\n\tNicolas Cage, his recent co-star on The Surfer <\/em>shared a statement with THR. <\/em>\u201cSuch deeply saddening news.\u00a0I spent six weeks working with Julian, and he was the most talented of actors,\u201d he said. \u201cOur scenes together on The Surfer <\/em>were amongst my favorites I\u00a0have ever participated in, and Julian is one of my favorite people. He was a kind and intelligent man. My love to his family.\u201d<\/p>\n
