\n A Roman Catholic church in Michigan is apologizing after one of its priests took to the pulpit to compare \u201cevil\u201d Black Lives Matter protesters to the 9\/11 terrorists.<\/p>\n

In a homily live-streamed on the Church of the Divine Child\u2019s Facebook<\/a> page Saturday, the Rev. Paul Graney marked the previous day\u2019s 19th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks \u2014 and said that Antifa and Black Lives Matter demonstrators were now the \u201cterrorists attacking\u201d the US \u201criot by riot.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAl-Qaeda\u2019s goal was to come to the United States and kill Americans. Really just wanted to wipe America off the map. And they would have done it if they could,\u201d Graney told his congregants in suburban Detroit.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut today, those who we see wanting to bring down America are Americans, and they want to do it under the facade of justice, freedom and love,\u201d the priest said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it is all a big bunch of baloney. It\u2019s anti-Christian. It\u2019s anti-family. It\u2019s evil.\u201d<\/p>\n

Garney \u2014 a priest since 2016 \u2014 attacked protesters for creating \u201cmaybe some of the ugliest times in our nation\u2019s history.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCars have been torched, property has been destroyed, businesses looted and burned, and police officers and other people have been intimidated, assaulted and even murdered,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll in the name of justice, often times the rallying cry being, \u2018No justice, no peace,’\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He called Antifa an \u201canarchist, terrorist organization\u201d and attacked the BLM movement for also working against the traditional family structure\u201d by supporting LGBTQ people.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod did not design us to behave homosexual \u2026 Humanity is built on the foundation of heterosexual love between a man and a woman,\u201d he told his congregants.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow the terrorists attacking us have the endgame<\/a> of a society with no law, no structure, no government \u2014 even no family structure,\u201d he preached.<\/p>\n

The video was pulled after 90 minutes, with the Dearborn-based church\u2019s pastor, Rev. Bob McCabe apologizing for the \u201cdivision, anger, confusion and chaos\u201d the video created. Some congregants saved copies before it was deleted and shared online, however.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs your pastor, I want to assure you that at Divine Child we love and respect all persons. Every person is sacred in the eyes of God regardless of their race, religion or sexuality,\u201d McCabe said.<\/p>\n

He also noted that his priest had not preached about the theme<\/a> of the day\u2019s Gospel, which centered on forgiveness.<\/p>\n
