The Detective Is Already Dead<\/em> Season 2 is set to begin its broadcast in 2026. A teaser visual was released with the announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Detective Is Already Dead<\/em> is based on the KADOKAWA-published light novel series written by Nigojuu<\/strong>\u00a0and illustrated by\u00a0Umibouzu<\/strong>. Yen Press describes the story as:<\/span><\/p>\n

Kimitsuka Kimihiko was the assistant to a beautiful detective named Siesta \u2014 until Siesta died, anyway. Now, Kimitsuka has encountered a girl who bears an uncanny resemblance to his former boss\u2026<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The series began in 2019 and won the 15th MF Bunko J Light Novel Rookie of the Year award that year. Volume 13 will be released on July 25, 2025 JST.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a manga<\/a> adaptation as well as spin-offs in both manga and light novel form.<\/span><\/p>\n
