Since the album\u2019s release nearly one year ago, Wallice\u2019s commitment to embodying the album\u2019s titular character has been absolute, from her colorful clown-inspired music videos down to the white facepaint she dons during performances.\n          <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\n            In her song \u201cThe Opener,\u201d Wallice likens performing to doing backflips \u201clike a clown\u201d \u2013 in \u201cClown Like Me,\u201d she sings, \u201cAlways freak out when I&#8217;m on the tightrope \/ I&#8217;m holding on to high hopes, that I&#8217;ll make it to the end.\u201d As she pairs painfully self-aware lyrics with production that at times evokes the hollow, forced fun of circus music, Wallice creates a striking representation of an entertainer&#8217;s emotional interior. The jester is more than just a character; it\u2019s the embodiment of a young artist in a cutthroat industry.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            From the wild, off-kilter saxophone solo that emerges from a moment of buzzing static in \u201cHeaven Has to H<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en\u201d to the rippling electronic backdrop of \u201cLook At Me,\u201d The Jester was the work of a consistently curious artist. Wallice supported the album with a 20-date headlining tour, greeting fans in a series of clown-inspired outfits. \u201cPrior to the tour I was really nervous no one would come because sometimes I feel like a tiny clown in this big world of superstars but you guys showed up and I am so touched,\u201d she reflected <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DGZMAoOSnlq\/?hl=en\">in an Instagram post<\/a>.\n          <\/p>\n<p>\n            Wallice went on to <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DIowNDfO8VB\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\">open<\/a> for five of St. Vincent shows in April and is set to perform at <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_new\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summersonic.com\/en\/\">Summer Sonic<\/a> in Tokyo and Osaka this summer on August 16th and 17th. I\u2019ll be honest, I wasn\u2019t even a huge fan of Avril at that age, but the show was very fun and inspiring. At that point in my life I only played trumpet, so rock wasn\u2019t on my radar but it was so fun and I still remember the venue and it\u2019s special each time I go back.
