trustworthiness) actually is \u2013 and what it isn&#8217;t.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While often cited in SEO conversations, E-E-A-T is not a measurable score or a direct ranking factor. <\/p>\n<p>Instead, it is best understood as a framework for building user trust through content quality, credibility, and relevance.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-e-e-a-t-is-about-the-user-not-checklists-or-scores\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"E-E-A-T_is_about_the_user_not_checklists_or_scores\"><\/span>E-E-A-T is about the user, not checklists or scores<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>E-E-A-T is an SEO concept \u2013 not a measurable system used by search engines, generative engines, or AI models.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are no E-E-A-T scores, checklists, or formal guidelines from Google or other engines because it\u2019s not part of the core algorithm.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, E-E-A-T represents a content framework that, when <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lied well, helps build user trust.<\/p>\n<p>When users trust your content, they\u2019re more likely to engage with it or share it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Journalists and creators may link to it, which builds buzz that sends positive signals to search engines and LLMs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In other words, it\u2019s not the E-E-A-T concept itself that boosts visibility.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the trust and authority your content builds with real users that leads to better performance in SEO and GEO.<\/p>\n<p>If someone is telling you that you need to be reviewed by a medical professional or have a photo of yourself for E-E-A-T, they don\u2019t understand the concept.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone can edit themselves into a photo, and anyone can steal an image from someone else.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cMedically reviewed by\u201d tactic has been overplayed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While it might build user trust, it may not help SEO and could even backfire if the reviewer lacks true expertise.<\/p>\n<p>E-E-A-T should be about the user \u2013 not satisfying a made-up metric. It&#8217;s not something that can be measured with a score.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few ways we apply E-E-A-T with our clients, affiliates, and content partners to help them grow:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Citations.<\/li>\n<li>Jump links.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cReviewed by\u201d and author bios.<\/li>\n<li>Images.<\/li>\n<li>Going further with content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-citations\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Citations\"><\/span>Citations<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Linking out to another website may or may not carry direct SEO value, but it absolutely impacts the user\u2019s experience.<\/p>\n<p>When you make a claim, don\u2019t link to a definition. That belongs in your article \u2013 or on your site if it\u2019s part of your entity.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, link to a study or credible source that directly supports the claim.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a made-up example:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cVitamin C can help bring aliens to earth, save the environment, and give us world peace.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Most sites would link the term Vitamin C to their own guide or to a third-party medical website that defines what Vitamin C is. This isn\u2019t helpful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>An internal link to your own guide might benefit your site structure and highlight that page\u2019s importance, but it doesn\u2019t help the reader \u2013 they\u2019re curious about the claim, not the definition.<\/p>\n<p>The same goes for linking to a medical website that simply defines Vitamin C. It doesn\u2019t support the claim, it just redirects the reader to basic information they weren\u2019t looking for.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, link to a peer-reviewed study that shows how Vitamin C attracts aliens to Earth (as outlandish as that sounds), because that backs the actual claim.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cite sources that specifically state Vitamin C saves the environment and promotes world peace, and ensure they\u2019re credible and clearly support what you&#8217;re asserting.<\/p>\n<p>A site\u2019s age, backlink count, or traffic doesn\u2019t make it trustworthy. What matters is the user&#8217;s experience based on your recommendation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what we look for when selecting citations or giving backlinks in our content:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The author is a real expert and practices in the field.<\/li>\n<li>The site is fully focused on the topic, or has a clearly defined, dedicated section for it.<\/li>\n<li>Older content is updated regularly as new findings emerge.<\/li>\n<li>There are no links to spammy topics like porn, payday loans, pills, or other pay-to-play verticals.<\/li>\n<li>Articles cannot be purchased (major <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> is the exception), and guest posts are only accepted under strict quality controls from certified experts. You can also use them elsewhere when they add genuine value.<\/p>\n<p>Authors can build loyal readerships and subscriber bases. And when contributors feel recognized and supported, they\u2019re more likely to keep producing high-quality work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Just make sure that both the author and the reviewer are actual experts.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what we require from clients when it comes to authorship and review credibility:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Authors do not write about topics they\u2019re not certified in or don\u2019t have firsthand experience with.<\/li>\n<li>Either the author or reviewer \u2013 ideally both \u2013 must be known, published experts. That means:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They\u2019re published in academic or industry journals.<\/li>\n<li>They\u2019ve been featured in the media as subject matter experts.<\/li>\n<li>They speak at relevant conferences or events.<\/li>\n<li>They operate a well-researched, topic-specific website.<\/li>\n<li>They\u2019re licensed or certified in their field, and those credentials are current.<\/li>\n<li>They\u2019re actively working or practicing in the space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Author bios should focus on professional qualifications \u2013 not unrelated personal details.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If someone writes about dermatology, we don\u2019t need to know they enjoy playing board <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s or love their dog (unless they\u2019re writing about games or pets).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At most, include a brief hobby mention if they insist \u2013 but the priority should always be on showcasing their expertise.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Dig deeper: The myth of manufacturing author including an image in your article doesn\u2019t prove you visited a location, baked a dessert, or completed a task \u2013 these can all be fabricated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Focus on what helps the user, not what\u2019s done just for SEO.<\/p>\n<p>Include an image of yourself with the completed task near the top of the article or as the featured image, but for the rest of the content, focus on what benefits the user.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few examples.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-travel-sites\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Travel_sites\"><\/span>Travel sites<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Show the exact place to stand for a selfie or sunrise shot, using a specific marker in the ground so the person knows how to angle the camera and which direction to face.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Start with what the finished photo looks like, then share the best times of day because of natural light.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, include an image of the area they should stand in, along with the camera height and angle, so they can recreate your shot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-recipe-and-cooking-sites\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Recipe_and_cooking_sites\"><\/span>Recipe and cooking sites<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Include images of what steps look like when things are overdone or underdone, especially at tricky points.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Add consistent elements to your photos \u2013 like countertops or a place card \u2013 so it\u2019s clear this is actually you cooking in your kitchen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-operations-sites-code-excel-accounting-etc\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" common typos by reviewing forums with formulas and calculations.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Provide an FAQ at the bottom of the page addressing each one and how to fix it.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Show what the formula, code, or equation should look like at each step \u2013 both correct and incorrect \u2013 and include what the output looks like for each.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Then explain why a specific character, space, or detail causes the incorrect result, so the user not only gets the fix but also understands the why.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>An added bonus: this can attract long-tail searches from users who keep getting incorrect results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-going-further-with-content\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Going_further_with_content\"><\/span>Going one of our biggest wins for both SEO and AI Overviews.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When we see content that says something is good, we add the reason why it\u2019s good \u2013 ideally in the same sentence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thin content:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cThe top part of the castle at golden hour is perfect for a selfie\u201d is missing the sentence needs this, but anytime you claim something is good, correct, bad, the best, better, or worse, support it with reasoning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s what shows the user you know what you\u2019re talking about \u2013 and gives them a reason to trust and act on your advice.<\/p>\n<p>Another example:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cTake your selfie at golden hour
