Lindsay Lohan<\/strong> moved to Dubai to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood! Okay, so it wasn’t\u00a0totally<\/em> that. In fact, it was something more specific!<\/p>\n

So, the Parent Trap<\/em> alum went on\u00a0Live With Kelly and Mark<\/em> this week to promote her upcoming (and much-anticipated!) movie\u00a0Freakier Friday<\/em>. During her chat with Kelly Ripa<\/strong> and\u00a0Mark Consuelos<\/strong>, she got real about moving to the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n

Of course, the 39-year-old actress is happ<\/a>y there with her hubby, 38-year-old Bader Shammas<\/strong>. And the duo shares 2-year-old son\u00a0Luai<\/strong>, too. So, life is good! Or, GREAT! …Because you aren’t allowed to take peoples’ pictures in public in Dubai!<\/p>\n

Kelly asked about the former child star’s life in the Middle East, and Lindsay explained:<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s just far away from Hollywood, and I live a very normal life. … There\u2019s no worry of, like, I can\u2019t go eat at this place ’cause someone\u2019s gonna take a picture of my son. And it\u2019s just, I feel very safe.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Like we said, it’s literally illegal<\/em> to take someone’s picture in public without their consent in the UAE. Which we couldn’t believe! And Kelly couldn’t believe, either! Ripa was shocked to learn that when LiLo explained:<\/p>\n

“No, it\u2019s not legal. You can\u2019t even take a picture of someone else if you\u2019re at a restaurant. You have to ask the person, which is a big difference from here.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kelly gasped and answered:<\/p>\n

“What? That\u2019s incredible!”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

To which Lindsay nodded and confirmed:<\/p>\n

“Yeah, privacy is key.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Honestly, not a bad perk of moving to a place like that — especially when you’re as famous as Lohan!<\/p>\n
