Teyana Taylor has revealed that she will be undergoing emergency vocal chord surgery after doctors found a noncancerous growth.<\/p>\n
On her Instagram Stories, the singer wrote: \u201cI\u2019ve been quietly dealing with some vocal challenges for a while now. And after a lot of back and forth with my doctors, I\u2019ve been told I need vocal surgery immedia<\/a>tely.<\/p>\n “They found a noncancerous growth on one of my cords that\u2019s been messing with my voice and causing real discomfort. Thankfully, we caught it & it\u2019s treatable\u2014but it does mean I need to pause and give myself time to fully heal.\u201d<\/p>\n She added: \u201cThat honestly breaks my heart. I don\u2019t take lightly what it means to show up for y\u2019all. I\u2019ve poured so much of myself into this next chapter\u2014especially the Escape Room<\/em>, which is still dropping August 22! So no worries there. It\u2019s the most personal body of work I\u2019ve ever created. and the timing\u2026 it\u2019s not lost on me.
