BlackRock hasn\u2019t filed for a Solana ETF, but ETF analyst James Seyffart says they shouldn\u2019t be allowed to jump in at the last minute after other issuers\u2019 hard work.<\/p>\n

The world\u2019s largest asset manager, BlackRock, should not be allowed to launch a Solana exchange-traded fund (ETF) simultaneously with the US-based issuers who have already filed for one, says ETF analyst James Seyffart.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s messed up,\u201d Seyffart told<\/a> ETF analyst Nate Geraci in a video published to YouTube<\/a> on Saturday, discussing a hypothetical scenario where BlackRock \u2014 despite no filing so far \u2014 jumps in at the last minute with a spot Solana (SOL<\/a>) ETF and launches alongside firms that app<\/a>lied months ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat shouldn\u2019t happen,\u201d Seyffart said. \u201cThese smaller issuers, these guys have spent so much time working with the SEC getting the paperwork right,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n
