Gunna is set for a top five debut on the Billboard 200 with his latest album The Last Wun<\/em>.<\/p>\n

His last project to be released by longtime record label YSL, The Last Wun<\/em> is currently projecting for a number three debut on the chart.<\/p>\n

It is also tracking to sell 90,000 equivalent units in its first week on sale.<\/p>\n

Those numbers are virtually identical to the launch of One of Wun<\/em> last year which sold 91,000 equivalent units in its first week for a number two debut.<\/p>\n

However, it is something of a fall off from Gunna’s commercial peak which came months before he was arrested as part of the controversial RICO investigation into YSL.<\/p>\n

His third album DS4Ever<\/em>, released in January 2022, premiered at the top of the Billboard 200 and sold 150,000 units in its first week, blocking The Weeknd and his Dawn FM<\/em> project from the number one spot.<\/p>\n

Shortly before the release of his new album, Gunna thanked fans for sticking by him amid his legal problems and multiple controversies.<\/p>\n

Sitting for a chat with will.i.am for\u00a0Uproxx<\/em><\/a>, the Atlanta rapp<\/a>er was thankful for the support he has received as he has battled RICO charges and a fallout with YSL.<\/p>\n

Gunna was asked by the Black Eyed Peas star about the reception he received when he returned to live performing after his time in jail.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFukumean\u201d rapper responded: \u201cIt\u2019s one of the best feelings in the world, that I\u2019ll never forget. I never take it for granted. I can just go back to that time and be like, \u2018Man, my fans really came through for me.\u2019 It was about me but it was really about them showing up for me. I got die-hard fans, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gunna also had a direct message for his fans: \u201cFirst, thank you for being with me. And never give up. Don\u2019t stop, especially when they want you to stop. Really keep going then. That\u2019s when you really, really push. Pray until something happens. A lot of things will pull you down or get it your way\u2026 when you get over the hump, you feel stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n
