Taylor Swift<\/strong> was on a mission when she met Jason Kelce<\/strong>\u2019s children!<\/p>\n

Last September, the former Philadelphia Eagles<\/strong> player shared on an episode of the New Heights<\/em> podcast that he told his and Kylie Kelce<\/strong>\u2019s daughters that cats \u201care poisonous\u201d so they would not ask to bring one home anytime soon. Well, Auntie Tay wasn\u2019t going to stand for that! She made it her goal to convince the girls that there is absolutely nothing wrong with felines! She said during her app<\/a>earance on the podcast this week:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was actually really a great challenge because as soon as I got the kids around the cats, it was my goal to prove to them that they weren\u2019t poisonous. And there\u2019s no better way to prove that than to just hand them Benjamin, my rag doll cat, who lets humans hold him like he\u2019s a baby.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ha! We bet Jason loved the pop star foiling his scheme! Taylor continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I mean, my favorite thing ever is when [Jason\u2019s daughter] Benny will come up to me and just go, \u2018I find Benjamin. I find him.\u2019 And she\u2019s just like over there, laying with him and petting him and holding him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Cruel Summer<\/em> artist pointed out that her cats are \u201cso good\u201d with kids, even when Jason\u2019s children \u201cdrag\u201d them all over the place:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re just like, \u2018Meredith is here!\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Yup. And you know what? She didn\u2019t bite you at all, did she? And if she did bite you, she wouldn\u2019t be poisonous.\u2019 They\u2019re like, \u2018That\u2019s not what our dad said.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Well.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But did Tay succeed in convincing the Kelce family to get a cat? The Grammy<\/strong> winner shared that she heard from a very \u201cwell-placed source\u201d that they were getting a new feline addition to the crew! However, don\u2019t get too excited for Wyatt<\/strong>, Elliotte<\/strong>, Bennett<\/strong>, or Finnley<\/strong> yet! Jason replied he will \u201cneither confirm nor deny\u201d anything, adding:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll see if it does get to that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Taylor will need to put in some more work to change his mind! Benjamin<\/strong>, Meredith<\/strong>, and Olivia<\/strong> may be coming over to Jason\u2019s house more often in the future! The musician then added:<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re getting like a proper cat. You\u2019re getting a cat that chases mice. What I have are not that. They sit around, and that\u2019s enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to Jason, he was talked into getting \u201ca barn cat that does not go inside\u201d and \u201cwill survive off of rodents in the field and guard our house.\u201d Good luck with keeping the kitty outside all the time, though! As Taylor pointed out:<\/p>\n

\u201cThose girls are going to be sneaking that cat into their beds every single night.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Jason joked that this is \u201cwhy I lie to my kids,\u201d noting that he wants them to be \u201ccritical thinkers.\u201d He explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey need to realize it\u2019s absurd to think this, and you handing them Benjamin and then walking them through critical thinking ability. Now all of a sudden they won\u2019t believe something that every moron tells them on the Internet, right?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

To which Taylor responded:<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, it was really like, I know it wasn\u2019t helpful for you, but it was helpful for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
