Jim Sheridan, a six-time Oscar nominee, teams with David Merriman on <em>Re-Creation<\/em>, which revisits the contested case of Ian Bailey, long linked to the 1996 murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier. The film premiered at Tribeca and features Vicky Krieps and John Connors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tConnors also stars in <em>Crazy Love<\/em>, the debut feature by stage director Kevin Treacy and cinematographer Jason Byrne. The drama, about an unlikely romance in a psychiatric hospital, will have its world premiere at Oldenburg. Rounding out the Irish spotlight is <em>Horseshoe<\/em> from Edwin Mullane and Adam O\u2019Keeffe, a family drama with supernatural elements that won Best Irish First Film at Galway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAdditional highlights include Ond\u0159ej Provazn\u00edk\u2019s <em>Broken Voices<\/em>, which premiered in Karlovy Vary; Vincent Grashaw\u2019s <em>Keep Quiet<\/em>, which debuted in Locarno and features Lou Diamond Phillips; and <em>The Girl in the Snow<\/em>, Louise Hemon\u2019s debut that screened in Cannes\u2019 Critics\u2019 Week. The festival will also screen Ben Leonberg\u2019s <em>Good Boy<\/em>, which premiered at SXSW.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWorld premieres include Alejandro Castro Arias\u2019 <em>Harakiri, I Miss You<\/em>, Guillaume Campanacci\u2019s <em>The Silent Sinner<\/em>, Nancy Biniadaki\u2019s <em>Maysoon<\/em>, Cris Tapia Marchiori\u2019s <em>Gunman<\/em>, and J\u00e9r\u00f4me Vandewattyne\u2019s Belgian satire <em>Summer Hit Machine<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOldenburg has also unveiled this year\u2019s festival trailer. Directed by Edgar P\u00eara (<em>Telegraphic Letters<\/em>, <em>Magnetick Pathways<\/em>), and co-created with festival director Torsten Neumann, it reimagines H.G. Wells\u2019 <em>The War of the Worlds<\/em> with an alien invasion set loose on the streets of the northern German city. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe short film will launch in cinemas nationwide in Germany on Aug. 21.
