Kanye West was upset at Freddie Gibbs‘ much talked about verse on “Back to Me” from Vultures 1<\/em> last year.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Butcher Block<\/em> podcast, Gibbs said West was resentful that people thought he had the best verse on the divisive project.<\/p>\n

He explained: “This n-gga Kanye was mad about that shit. That n-gga was telling n-ggas like, ‘Man, how the fuck this n-gga think his verse is the best on my album?’”<\/p>\n

Gibbs added: “When I sent it to him, I sent it to him thinking that, with the premise, he’d be proud of me. ‘Cause I look up to you. So I would think that, I rapp<\/a>ed on your album, and people talking about it like this, you would think that a n-gga like you would be proud of me. That pissed him off.”<\/p>\n

He concluded by saying: “A lot of that shit was a slap in the face. I’m putting my shit on pause to be on Vultures bitch ass n-gga. I could be recording Alfredo 2<\/em>. I put a lot of shit on hold to come to Italy to work with you and for you to shit on some of my best work ’cause you mad ’cause n-ggas saying it’s better, you know what I’m saying?”<\/p>\n

Kanye has been quiet on the music front of late but did recently drop a trailer for his documentary In Whose Name?<\/em><\/p>\n

The film, directed by teenager Nico Ballesteros, was shot over the last six years of West\u2019s life and covers the multitude of controversial events from that time period including his divorce from Kim Kardashian, antisemitic rants and bizarre public behavior.<\/p>\n

In Whose Name?<\/em>\u00a0is currently scheduled to premiere on September 19 and will play nationwide in cinemas.<\/p>\n

The minute long teaser shows West in a number of intimate settings where he discusses his mental health, refusal to take medication and an emotional row with Kardashian.<\/p>\n

The clip also shows West in his infamous White Lives Matter shirt, his Sunday Service concerts and the rollout of his\u00a0Donda<\/em>\u00a0album.<\/p>\n

At one point in the teaser, West can be heard saying: \u201cI would rather be dead than be on medication\u2026 Either they destroy me or I destroy it.. I\u2019m almost like a masochist\u2026 I write whatever I want when I want! It\u2019s words!\u201d<\/p>\n
