Kid Cudi has admitted that marijuana completely dominated his life before going to rehab.<\/p>\n
Speaking to People<\/em><\/a>, Cudi detailed his drug usage: “I just was in this place where I was abusing it. I was really abusing it. I was smoking maybe 15 blunts a day, wake up in the mornings, get high. It truly ruled my life.”<\/p>\n The rapp<\/a>er and occasional actor explained how his relationship with marijuana has changed since rehab: “And now I just get after it at night or on the weekends when I have the free time and I’m just relaxing, but I’m not smoking nowhere near as much weed as I was smoking before.<\/p>\n “A joint lasts me all day, damn near. So my relationship has changed with that in a major way. And I’m just more interested in being sober a lot more and being more present.”<\/p>\n During one of his stints in rehab to address his drug use, Cudi was on the wrong side of a diss track from Drake.<\/p>\n Drake took aim at Cudi on 2016 track \u201cTwo Birds, One Stone\u201d which mocked the \u201cPursuit of Happiness\u201d rapper\u2019s struggles with mental health, a move which was poorly received by fans.<\/p>\n Speaking to\u00a0CBS Mornings<\/em><\/a>, Cudi detailed his reaction to the song: \u201cI was like, oh okay, you wanna kick me when I\u2019m down. Great. But he wanted to play the game<\/a> with me. He wanted me to put him in my song or whatever and I\u2019m not that type of artist.\u201d<\/p>\n He then explained that he never intended to respond to Drake on record: \u201cI\u2019m not going to the studio angry rapping about some other man and putting him in my art. That\u2019s not what we\u2019re gonna do here. I\u2019m gonna come to your doorstep and I\u2019mma let you know that I\u2019mma see you. I\u2019mma see you and that\u2019s a promise.\u201d<\/p>\n Cudi reveals he and Drake patched things up in 2021 but that the 6 God ghosted him afterwards: \u201cI went on to do a record for him for his album, but granted, I haven\u2019t heard from him ever since.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cIt just let me know that time is over. We\u2019ll never be homies like we were before. I don\u2019t have any beef with him anymore and I\u2019m not mad at him or anything. It\u2019s just time has gone by. [We are in] different places. It\u2019s all good. I know he loves me. I know that. And I know he respects me as an artist.
