Lil Wayne has joined those who have congratulated Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on their engagement.<\/p>\n
During a tour stop in Kansas City, where Kelce plays for the city’s NFL team, the Chiefs, Weezy referenced that he was dressed in tribute to the superstar singer while wearing a cardigan.<\/p>\n
He said to the crowd: \u201cI\u2019m dressed in spirit. In the spirit of my man Travis and my girl, you already know Taylor. Traylor! That\u2019s what we call them. Congratulations.”<\/p>\n
Wayne recently said that he\u00a0no longer had aspirations of performing at the Super Bowl halftime show after missing out on performing in his hometown of New Orleans earlier this year.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery time I looked, it was nothing that made me want to go inside and see what was going on,\u201d he explained, saying he didn\u2019t watch Kendrick Lamar\u2019s performance, before adding: \u201cThey stole that feeling. I don\u2019t want to do it. It was perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also alleged the NFL had been seemingly hinting that he\u2019d be chosen for the gig as they encouraged him to be more front-facing ahead of time.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo perform, it\u2019s a bunch of things they\u2019re going to tell you to do and not do, asses to kiss and not kiss,\u201d he explained. \u201cIf you notice, I was a part of things I\u2019ve never been a part of. Like [Michael] Rubin\u2019s all-white parties. I\u2019m doing shit with Tom Brady. That was all for that. You ain\u2019t never seen me in them types of venues. I ain\u2019t Drake. I ain\u2019t out there smiling like that everywhere. I\u2019m in the stu\u2019, smokin\u2019 and recording.\u201d<\/p>\n
And then when he still wasn\u2019t chosen, he says the NFL simply told him, \u201cWe ain\u2019t in charge [of the Super Bowl halftime show].\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cAll of a sudden, according to them, they got curved. So, I\u2019m going to have to just settle with whatever they say.\u201d<\/p>\n
