“#Angel Olsen Covers \u201cMr. Lonely\u201d: Listen<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Back in July, the first trailer for Miranda July\u2019s latest film KAJILLIONAIRE<\/em> was released. The clip included a snippet of Angel Olsen covering Bobby Vinton\u2019s 1962 classic \u201cMr. Lonely\u201d along with film\u2019s composer Emile Mosseri. Now, the track has been released in full. Hear it below.<\/p>\n

The KAJILLIONAIRE OST<\/em> arrives September 25. The film\u2014which is written and directed by July\u2014follows a family of con-artists and a \u201cdesperate, hastily conceived heist\u201d involving a stranger.<\/p>\n

In a statement about her involvement with the film, Angel Olsen wrote, \u201cSuddenly there she was. THE MIRANDA JULY. In my text messages.\u201d Olsen continued:<\/p>\n

She was working on songs with Emile for the upcoming film KAJILLIONAIRE<\/em>, which at the time I knew nothing about. I just so happ<\/a>ened to be in Los Angeles. So I met with them both, and we talked about cadence and we talked about life and we talked about the film. And Miranda directed me to sing the cover in the way she and Emile thought it would represent the feelings behind the film. It was a lovely experience. Later, Miranda and I went outside for a little break and we did a little improv with each other. Just us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
