One security expert points to a phishing exploit tied to Ethereum contracts.<\/p>\n<p><p>World Liberty Financial\u2019s (WLFI) governance tokenholders are being hit with a known phishing wallet exploit using Ethereum\u2019s EIP-7702 upgrade, SlowMist founder Yu Xian says.<\/p>\n<p>Ethereum&#8217;s Pectra upgrade in May <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/eips.ethereum.org\/EIPS\/eip-7702\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"null\">introduced<\/a> EIP-7702, which allows external accounts to temporarily act like smart contract wallets, delegating execution rights and allowing batch transactions, which are aimed at streamlining a user\u2019s experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Xian <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/evilcos\/status\/1962534941901902057\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"null\">said<\/a> in an X post on Monday that hackers are exploiting the upgrade to pre-plant a hacker-controlled address in victim wallets, then, when a deposit is made, they quickly \u201csnatch\u201d the tokens, which in this case, is affecting WLFI tokenholders.<\/p>\n<p>Read more<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
