Sometimes moms don\u2019t always have the best advice! Just ask Miley Cyrus<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

The pop star sat down for an interview with The Cut<\/em> on Tuesday, along with Tish<\/strong> and sisters Noah<\/strong> and Brandi<\/strong>, where she discussed a dating tip she received from their momma in the past. Billy Ray Cyrus<\/strong>\u2018 ex-wife app<\/a>arently doesn\u2019t have her priorities straight in the romance department! She dished out some of the worst advice we\u2019ve ever heard! Miley recalled:<\/p>\n

\u201cMom\u2019s always wanted me to stay with the wrong guy \u2018cause they\u2019re hot.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Oh, Tish! No! Miley has been with some hunks in the past, including ex-husband Liam Hemsworth<\/strong> and ex-boyfriends Cody Simpson <\/strong>and Patrick Schwarzenegger<\/strong>. But looks are not everything! You should want a guy who respects and treats your daughter well first and foremost! Tish doubled down on the advice, though! She explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, that was great advice because after so many years, you\u2019re kind of over it and you\u2019re like\u2026 in a relationship. At least you get to look at somebody that\u2019s frigging hot!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Miley doesn\u2019t entirely agree, thankfully! She fired back:<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I ended up with a person [drummer Maxx Morando<\/strong>] who means a lot to me and treats me really well and respects me. I had to learn that the hard way because my mommy taught me the wrong way and then I had to learn the right way by myself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Noah \u2014 who dated Tish\u2019s current husband, Dominic Purcell<\/strong> \u2014 noted she was \u201cin the same boat\u201d when it came to their mother\u2019s advice. Yikes. Miley continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cI had to find someone who treats me with respect and then Mom never really put that on the top three of her must-haves. Mom was like, \u2018They need to be tall.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

To which Brandi joked that her boyfriend Matt Southcombe<\/strong> is \u201chot as hell.\u201d However, Miley pointed out:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy man\u2019s hot as hell too. But my man also respects me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That is so important! More than how \u201chot\u201d your partner is! But Brandi defended Tish! She insisted their mom \u201chas evolved\u201d over time. According to Miley, Tish only changed because of her marriage to Dom:<\/p>\n
