If the Mass Production Evangelions\u2019 app<\/a>earance in The End of Evangelion<\/em> wasn\u2019t already unsettling enough, collectible manufacturer Prime 1 Studio<\/strong>\u00a0has an upcoming Evangelion Mass Production Model statue that\u2019s positive nightmare fuel.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the product description says, this interpretation of the Mass Production Evas, which is based on a concept design by Josh Nizzi, is a \u201cmechanical reimagining\u201d and comes with design elements like panel lines and \u201cinternal mechanisms.\u201d The tactility of the clearly mechanical sections combined with the Mass Production Eva\u2019s trademark \u201cgrin,\u201d now depicted with realistic-feeling teeth and gums, and the wrinkled fabric on the head results in an uncanny and terrifying appearance.<\/span><\/p>\n

The white-based color scheme is complemented by metallic, muted silver and accented with a warning yellow. The purple-hued sword is imbued with a sharp tension within its delicate sculpt.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

At its feet, as if descending from the sky, unfolds a crafted scene of apocalypse\u2014collapsed truss bridge, crumbling architecture, and EVA-02 impaled and sinking into the red sea. A nightmare once witnessed returns, reborn in a new form.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
