“#Thom Yorke Remixes Clark\u2019s \u201cIsolation Theme<\/a>\u201d: Listen<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Thom Yorke has shared a new remix of Clark, taking on \u201cIsolation Theme\u201d from the electronic producer\u2019s score for Daniel Isn\u2019t Real<\/em><\/a>. Listen below. The remix precedes the expanded release of Clark\u2019s score for the 2019 psychological thriller, which also includes two bonus tracks. That\u2019s out December 6, via Deutsche Grammophon<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a press release, Yorke said, \u201cI took Clark\u2019s score of\u00a0\u2018Isolation Theme\u2019\u00a0and simply made it feel like the\u00a0moment we were entering; being told to stay indoors, entering a new type of silence. I guess I simplified it in a way,\u00a0into waveforms that were being disrupted.\u00a0I was surprised how frightening it became.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Clark added, \u201cI started working on\u00a0Daniel\u00a0Isn\u2019t Real<\/em>\u00a0around the time I was asked to remix Thom\u2019s track\u00a0\u2018Not The News<\/a>\u2019\u00a0[revisit that here], so it has a neat circularity closing\u00a0the expanded edition of the score\u00a0with him remixing me. I was surprised how well the\u00a0midi translated to his remix.\u00a0He got such a good pure electronic tone out of it. It amazes me how simple note information, if it has a nice shape, can transmit to multiple voicings. This isn\u2019t good news for genres. It\u2019s good news for me though.\u201d<\/p>\n
