“#Bruce Arians fires back at Brett Favre’s Tom Brady warning<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n Bruce Arians doesn\u2019t want Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans to hit the panic button.<\/p>\n

After publicly criticizing Tom Brady following the Bucs\u2019 Week 1 loss to the Saints, the head coach poured cold water on concerns of early trouble between the pair.<\/p>\n

\u201cTom and I are fine,\u201d Arians told reporters Wednesday<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t really care what other people think. So it\u2019s just what he and I think. We left the stadium fine. We showed up today fine. There ain\u2019t nothin\u2019 to talk about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay lost Brady\u2019s first game<\/a> with the team, 34-23 to New Orleans, with the future Hall of Famer throwing for 239 yards and two touchdowns, along with two picks. Arians didn\u2019t hold back after the underwhelming debut.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe looked like Tom Brady in practice all the time, so it\u2019s kind of unusual to see that in a ballgame because they didn\u2019t do things that we didn\u2019t get ready for,\u201d Arians\u00a0 told reporters Monday. \u201cEverything they did, we thought we were ready for.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne [interception] was a miscommunication between he and Mike,\u201d Arians told reporters following the loss. \u201cHe thought Mike was going down the middle \u2014 it was a different coverage \u2014 Mike [Evans] read it right. He should have been across his face, but Tom overthrew it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe other one was a screen pass with an outlet called. He threw the outlet and it was a pick-six. Bad decision.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arians later corrected himself, saying Evans was at fault for the first interception, but former Packers star Brett Favre cautioned Arians against hanging Brady out to dry the next day.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the last person you want to call out after the first game of the year is Tom Brady,\u201d Favre said Tuesday on SiriusXM NFL Radio. \u201cNow, maybe they had a mutual truce going into the game, going into the season, \u2018Hey, I\u2019m going to be hard on you. I want the guys to know we\u2019re going to treat you the same even though technically I\u2019m not, so are you OK with it?\u2019 If they have that truce, great. If not, I think you are barking up the wrong tree.<\/p>\n

\u201cBruce Arians is the head coach, he\u2019s gonna do it the way he wants to do it \u2014 and I\u2019m not saying that it\u2019s right or wrong \u2014 but what\u2019s happ<\/a>ened in New England for so many years is that it worked,\u201d Favre said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m not saying that it\u2019s the right formula, but it certainly is one of the right formulas. I just don\u2019t see any good that comes out of calling your quarterback out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arians said during camp that Brady \u201cgets cussed out like everybody else,\u201d to which Brady replied \u201cI\u2019m used to it!\u201d on Twitter<\/a>. Despite Favre\u2019s concerns, Arians still seems at ease about his coaching style and the Bucs\u2019 prospects.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was amused when they handed us the Lombardi trophy in July,\u201d he said Wednesday. \u201cBut, yeah, it\u2019s part of the business. You go with it. It\u2019s one week at a time, one day at a time. We win a few games, everybody will be back on the bandwagon, happy [laughs]. It\u2019s just part of the game.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
